+ City of Belfast Youth Orchestra

One of the range of orchestras and bands operating under the auspices of the City of Belfast School of Music : ‘Each year, players from the City of Belfast Youth Orchestra (CBYO) make up approximately 50% of the Ulster Youth Orchestra and a few of our students have  been fortunate to be selected for the National Children's Orchestra, National Children's Brass Band as well as the National Youth Orchestras of Great Britain and Ireland ... The CBYO has a constantly changing membership. Approximately 1/3 of its members leave each year and are replaced by musicians who come from other bands and orchestras within the School of Music. For over half a century the CBYO has contributed significantly to the musical and cultural life of Belfast providing an outlet for its many talented young musicians.‘
