'Exists to establish and promote an interest in the playing of the ukulele and ukulele banjo in all their various styles and methods of presentation ... The core of the USGB is its membership. Our members come from all walks of life, of all ages from pre-teens to people in their 90s, and from all parts of Great Britain (plus a few from other countries). We have members who have played the ukulele all of their lives and others who have only just started playing (and one or two who don't play at all but just like to listen and be involved). The one thing that they all have in common is a passion for the ukulele and the ukulele banjo.'
