'The Society has been in existence for many years, principally for the playing of classical recorded music using the Society's own equipment in four formats - CD, Cassette, DVD and LP. We are a small group averaging about twenty at each of our weekly meetings. Knowledge of classical music is not at all necessary, merely an enthusiasm for it and its sharing with other like-minded folk. Visitors are always welcome to join us as a temporary member for an evening.'

The idea behind the formation of the orchestra was to satisfy a need for local players to prepare to as high a standard as possible interesting works for public performance, and this is still the primary aim of the orchestra today ... The orchestra meets on a regular weekly basis throughout the academic year and produces on average four to five public concerts a year.'

‘We are a well-established, mixed choir of some 80 singers, drawn from South Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands. We have a varied repertoire, mainly full scale classical works, often with an orchestra but sometimes performing more intimate pieces such as madrigals and part-songs. New singers are always welcome so do give us a try. There are no auditions and the only requirements are enthusiasm, and the ability to hold a note! Not everyone in the choir reads music fluently and CDs are often available to help people to learn their parts.’
