‘We are a mixed voice SATB chamber choir of about 30 voices based in Whitchurch in North Shropshire. The choir has a broad repertoire of sacred and secular music, giving concerts and recitals throughout Shropshire, North Wales, Cheshire, and Staffordshire ... We welcome enquiries from experienced singers thinking of joining us. Please note that as a chamber choir the Border Singers is unlikely to suit those with limited experience of ensemble singing. As a chamber group membership is limited so that we achieve a balanced sound.’

'The "AmDrams" are a group of people from Market Drayton and surrounding areas, of all ages, shapes and sizes who enjoy putting on fantastic shows and having a lot of fun!'

‘We are a group of 30 members of all ages who enjoy singing a wide variety of music. Whilst previous experience of singing in a choir and the ability to sight read music would be an advantage, these skills are not essential. Enthusiasm, the ability to sing in tune and being prepared to work together with the group enjoying the preparation and performance of our three to four annual concerts is as important. Membership is open to anyone (subject to vacancies). Only a simple voice test is required to ascertain vocal range.’ (Formerly Malpas Ladies Choir.)

'We are a modern Brass Band based in the historic town of Whitchurch, Shropshire. Primarily a concert-based band, our repertoire ranges from classic concertos and traditional marches, contemporary pop/rock artists such as The Beatles, Andreas Bocelli, Michael Buble and Robert Miles, through to modern pieces from top West End musicals including "The Lion King", "Chess" and "Grease". We specialise in weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and that special touch to make your day forever memorable.'

Formed 2010. The objects of the Whitchurch Community Choir are: “to promote choral singing for health, fun and enjoyment by bringing together people of all ages and abilities to sing in a choir; also to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including rehearsing and developing a repertoire with a view to making public presentations through concerts and recitals. To further such charitable purpose or purposes as the trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations”.

’The Music Department is committed to working in the community and as such we have a long-established choral society open to all, conducted by the director of music. This choir perform a variety of concerts each year, many raising money for charities such as Age UK, Hope House and Severn Hospice. In recent years we have forged strong partnerships and shared the stage with Oswestry Sinfonia and Porthwaen Silver Band, both local instrumental ensembles. We host a recital series each year that showcases the wonderful sounds of the Chapel organ and the rare Schulze Organ in Big School. Music is an integral part of life at Ellesmere College and we value the talent, enthusiasm and dedication displayed by all our students.‘
