‘Formed in 1987 by a group of enthusiastic singers who wanted to perform a wide range of works for mixed choir. The choir has a varied repertoire, consisting of early music, anthems, larger classical works, madrigals, spirituals, folk song arrangements and popular songs. They regularly give concerts in the Warwick, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa area.‘

'Costumed group of singers and instrumentalists who perform music of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, reviving the psalmody and hymnody of the rural parish church from around 200 years ago, so much beloved of Thomas Hardy and exemplified in his novels and poetry. This raw and exciting music is genuinely "music of the people", which found its way from the established church into the independent chapels, before becoming lost and almost forgotten by the beginning of the twentieth century. The Quire's repertoire also includes secular music from the Georgian period, and psalmody from the American tradition in the same era, taking to heart the instruction of John Wesley to "sing lustily and with good courage".'

‘A mixed voice choir of between 20 and 30 singers, who put on three concerts a year, normally in churches around Warwickshire. Smaller numbers of the choir are also available for private functions, weddings etc. We have an excellent accompanist, who also serves as librarian. Our first concert was in 1969, and we have performed regularly since then enjoying a very varied repertoire ... We rehearse on a weekly basis, and welcome enquiries from any experienced singer who is prepared to offer a firm commitment to our activities.’

‘Since the first choir was founded in 1123, music has filled this magnificent mediaeval church of St Mary, Warwick. Choral singing is one of Britain’s richest traditions and a vibrant, living heritage which is often the preserve of our great cathedrals. The fine choirs of this church are precious; they transform and inspire worship and enrich the community of Warwick. The English choral tradition remains central to music at St Mary’s Church and today’s flourishing choirs enjoy an international reputation. St Mary’s Church is also a popular venue for a range of high quality concerts and other events.‘
