‘The Haffner Orchestra is Lancaster’s symphony orchestra, comprising amateur players and local professionals drawn from across the North West. Audience members frequently tell us they are amazed and delighted by the wonderful music ...  We play a broad range of music from the baroque and classical periods to romantic and contemporary works including new commissions ... The orchestra gives three regular concerts a year in Lancaster. These take place in November, February and June, and there is always a pre-concert talk, free of charge.‘
