+ Norwich Philharmonic Society
Listing Details
‘The Norwich Philharmonic Society has been a focus for high-quality amateur music-making in Norwich since its first performance in 1841. The Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra give 4 or 5 concerts a year from a diverse repertoire, giving pleasure to audiences and members alike ... Accomplished orchestral players are welcome to audition for a place in the orchestra if one is available. There are currently waiting lists for all sections, but that shouldn't discourage applicants from enquiring, as the list situation is subject to frequent change. When applying to join the orchestra, please give details of orchestral experience, grades attained (minimum grade 8) and/or music college attended. Auditions and/or trials are heard by an orchestra member appointed by the Committee in consultation with the Principal Conductor and their decision is final.’
