‘Members come from all backgrounds but have a common interest in making music. Members range in age from 18 to more than 80. We do not audition new players. We have three concerts per year and the rehearsal periods for these are September to December, January to March and March to late May early June. We play mostly classical music and have performed works by most major composers and many who are less well known. We frequently have soloists performing with the orchestra.’
