‘SSO offers South East London audiences the opportunity to experience high-quality live orchestral music, old and new. We play both famous “standard repertoire” and music you will be unlikely to hear anywhere else. We also play a New Year's Concert where we mix adventurous repertoire which we know our audience will love, with traditional Viennese music and “pops”works including famous film, television and radio scores. SSO's musicians are drawn from all over London and beyond. Many members are professionally trained and teach locally, others are serious amateurs; all are committed to rigorous rehearsal preparation and making inspired performances.’
