The Arts Guild has a wide range of members -from the performing arts, choirs and orchestras to floral arts, photographic societies and locomotive societies. This web site aims to provide information on the services that the Arts Guild provides and listings of events and contact details for the various groups.'

Part of Hertfordshire Music Service: ‘All performing groups rehearse a wide variety of music, and give regular concerts at the Centre. Groups from the North Herts Music Schools may also have the opportunity to perform at outside venues such as the Gordon Craig Theatre. Experienced staff work to develop instrumental skills through listening and playing as part of an ensemble’.

‘For mixed voices aged 7-21 and is for those that want to have fun and learn new skills at the same time. The rehearsals include popular songs, music from the shows, and many more styles, and will help with learning to read music as well as learning to sing in new and different languages. We gather members from all areas of Hertfordshire so whether you are in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Welwyn, Ware etc you are welcome to come along. Due to demand we are also accepting members from Luton and Bedfordshire.’

Founded 2010: ‘We are a community choir currently based in Stevenage and have a membership of over 60. We are non-auditioned and are a friendly bunch! Come and join in! ... Before you know it you'll quickly learn all types of songs, from classical to pop classics, from folk to rock and roll via musicals. What's more, you'll learn all about breathing and vocal technique’.

‘A mixed voice choir with around 70 members of all ages and abilities. No audition is necessary to join our choir and we welcome anyone who wants to sing to come along and "give it a try" ... We pride ourselves on a varied and interesting musical repertoire ... We perform with both amateur and professional soloists using amateur/professional orchestras and bands for accompaniment ... The Choir is committed to outreach work and we try to work with different groups in the community each year.’

'We are a choir of about 70 members of ages ranging from 16 to 90. We sing a wide variety of music from Eva Cassidy to show tunes to Mozart ... and normally hold four concerts a year. There are no auditions necessary in order to join the choir and we welcome new members throughout the year. If you are thinking about joining then please come along to any rehearsal or to our new members' evening which is held annually.'

'The Gordon Craig Theatre is a 501 Seat Venue, boasting a Large Backstage Area with ample storage space and workshop facilities ... The Concert Hall is a 1200 seat venue located on the ground floor of the Arts and leisure Centre and has played host to a variety of acts including Comedians, Live Music and Sporting Shows.'
