‘LCCM is a specialist higher education college. This means we focus on a specific range of related subjects. Because our degrees are designed and run by leading figures from the music, publishing and software industries, when you choose to study at LCCM you can expect to leave well equipped for graduate level work in or beyond the creative industries ... Founded in 2001 ... our aim is to “transform higher education in music, writing, and software development by connecting our students to industry and investment”.’

'Offers a one year, full-time course, designed for those who wish to realise their full potential as musical theatre performers. We are widely recognised as unique in our approach, and our ethos is to create the environment of a professional company in rehearsal rather than that of an educational institution. LSMT offer only the one course, that has been refined and developed ... and has a proven track record of success.'

‘We are a small society of organ and organ music enthusiasts with about 60 members, mainly, but not exclusively, from South London ... Our primary activities ... involve visits to a number of churches where we are introduced to the organ, hear it being played, and get an opportunity to play it ourselves. Other activities could be talks or demonstrations. The meetings are informal and some people just come to hear the music, but it is also a marvellous opportunity to share thoughts with other like-minded people and establish contacts and broaden our general perspective.‘

‘Proud to be lead partner in the Southwark Music Hub ... We believe music is for everyone ... Southwark Music Service aims to enrich the lives of all Southwark children and young people by making the learning of music dynamic, energetic, varied and fun.’

'The International Staff Band, or ISB as it is now known still has around twenty percent of its members working for the Salvation Army, with the remaining members employed in a variety of occupations and professions. All are active members of their own particular local Salvation Army corps (Church), with membership spread as far afield as Leeds, Norwich, Bristol, London [and many centres in between]. Many of the band's members are also musical leaders in their local corps (Church) and membership of the ISB is undertaken in addition to their local church commitments ...'

‘Ensemble specialising in accessible, affordable performances of music from the 15th-18th Centuries ... While specialising in the performance of 17th Century chamber music, their repertoire extends into opera, and to the works of composers writing in the High-Late Middle Ages, often overlooked in programmes today ... As part of our aim to make Early Music as accessible as possible, to audiences and performers alike, we release editions of all our works created from manuscript sources whenever possible.‘

‘The Choral Society was launched in 1998 and is a thriving musical group. The aim of the Society is to practise and perform music to suit all tastes and have a good time. The singers are of all abilities and experiences. The only two criteria for joining are singing and being able to sing in tune. We have vocal warm ups and wonderful music ranging from popular to classical, including Christmas favourites ... We generally work towards three main public performances each year, often with orchestral accompaniment. We also sing at local festivals and community events ... Formed in 2009 to accompany the Choir at concerts, RBCS Chamber Orchestra is a group of talented and versatile young musicians, mainly drawn from the London music colleges. The musicians benefit from regular opportunities to perform in public, as part of their musical development.’

'Southwark Cathedral is a popular venue for concerts and recitals ... The Cathedral ... has boasted a fine Choir of boys and men for many years, offering pupils at day schools, both independent and state, the opportunity to learn music in the unique English Cathedral tradition. They have become well known through their broadcasts, tours and recordings. As part of the Millennium Project, marking the year 2000, Southwark Cathedral Girls' Choir was formed, on similar lines to the boys, to enrich the Cathedral's musical heritage and to offer the same opportunity for musical, spiritual and social development ... The Cathedral's organ was built by Lewis & Co. of Ferndale Road, Brixton, south London, and completed in 1897 ... The stop list is now as Lewis left it, except for the Viola 4' which was retained because it was a gift in memoriam.'

‘Music plays a central role to life at St George the Martyr.  We host free lunchtime concerts at 1pm every Thursday ... We are delighted to host the St George the Martyr with Kings Music Academy ... Our historic organ is a centrepiece of the church and plays a prominent role in our services ... We are very proud to regularly host the fantastic Water City Music and support the work they do bringing professional music to the community and including local children in their performances.‘
