'Established in 1989 at The Royal Academy of Music, Jazz Academy now resides at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Cobham ... "The great advantage of vacation courses - apart from the non-stop fun - is no exams. You learn as much or as little as you need, no questions asked. Age? Eight to eighty is about it, but nothing surprises us. It's about love of the music and pooling our experience. Tutors learn more all the time and love to pass on to others what makes them tick." [Michael Garrick] Held Spring, Summer, Winter Vacations.

'We cater mostly for adult players but welcome younger ones, including those with little or no orchestral experience. The music we play is from the standard classical repertoire ... There are no specific entry standards or auditions, however you will probably need to have played for a couple of years, be playing reasonably in tune and be able to practise at home. At the end of each term we play through the rehearsed programme in front of families and guests. This is followed by a supper to round off the evening. We make no charge for attending the concert.'
