'A self funding, non-profit making community group ... We initially ran short jazz improvisation workshops under the tutelage of local musicians, but now hold 2 & 3 day events with musicians of international standing ... These events are fully booked well in advance ... Having organised a couple of small festivals in the past, we have now opted to regularly put on jazz & blues gigs on the Fourth Friday of every month ... Ticket reservations are essential, since nights are regularly sold out.'

It also arranges workshops in conjunction with some of the concerts, in the main for young people but with opportunities for adults as well. In addition a talk is given each year highlighting repertoire from one particular concert. All these activities serve to enhance the musical enjoyment and understanding of the community.'

Neuadd Pendre Social Centre is the ideal venue for meetings of associations, clubs, and organisations ... When first built in Brook Street, Tywyn in around 1912 it was for use as a Drill Hall for the Territorial Army. Since that time Neuadd Pendre has seen many different uses ... A successful application for a National Lottery grant from the Arts Council for Wales resulted in the installation of John Smallwood's private Wurlitzer Theatre Organ which has become known nationwide as The Tywyn Wurlitzer.’

'The Festival was established in 1992 by a small group of volunteers that wanted to form a music festival in the town of Dolgellau. The aim was to create a free entry festival that took place on the streets of the town. The idea latched on to the general public and within a few years Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau had grown into one of Wales’ biggest festivals.' Held Mid July.
