‘CYSO's first official rehearsal took place in September 2014 and is aimed at young players of orchestral instruments based in Chester. The Orchestra gives Chester's young players the chance to play in a full symphony orchestra. ‘An amateur orchestra based near Chester, was founded in 2001 to enable musicians of all ages and abilities to participate in a performing amateur orchestra. The atmosphere is friendly, informal and geared towards encouraging the best performances from its members and aiding their musical development. An annual concert is held in July and a Christmas concert in December. The orchestra occasionally performs away from its base in Great Barrow Chester and are free to give concerts for charity. We are a not for profit Community Based Orchestra.’
