Our aim is ‘to provide the community of Innerleithen and the Borders area with quality light opera, musical entertainment, and to enhance their social life ... Established in 1908, we now perform one musical show in March each year in the Innerleithen Memorial Hall, which we use as our theatre’.

No audition necessary! ... Rehearsals begin in mid-September and the final concert of the year is usually around the middle of June. Most concerts take place on Saturday or Sunday evenings, and on concert days there is usually an afternoon rehearsal in the concert venue. Week-night commitments are rare.‘

'Founded in 1976 and plays an important part in the cultural life of the area. The Orchestra is essentially a chamber orchestra with strings, double woodwind, horns and trumpets. It's a community group and we welcome all interested players. Though we rehearse seriously, aiming for a high level of performance, our rehearsals are fun and enjoyed by all. Peebles Youth and Community Orchestra is the beginners' section of Peebles Orchestra. We are looking for adult beginners and young people of all ages to join PYCO.'

Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre in the heart of Peebles in the Scottish Borders is a vibrant, busy, well-loved hub for live performances, films, classes and exhibitions. A key venue for established acts and emerging talent, the theatre’s year round performance programme ranges across music, drama, dance, comedy, talks and family shows. Weekly classes give opportunities for people of all ages to take part in art, dance, drama and music. There are also “one off” workshops and festivals as well as an outreach programme taking arts into the community.‘
