‘Northamptonshire's only Opera Company. Since 2010, Thrapston Plaza Opera has been putting on large scale operas in English. The aim is to present a good quality production for and involving the local community. Open auditions are held in the Plaza every June to select the main roles with soloists coming from the local area, Birmingham, Peterborough, London, Cannock, Cambridge and the Music Colleges. The chorus is not auditioned and is open to everyone ... Our aim is to offer audiences a chance to experience grand opera in Thrapston at affordable prices.’
