‘West Kirby Light Opera Society - also known as “WKLOS” - was formed in 1950 and has acquired an enviable reputation as one of the leading amateur Musical Theatre societies in the North West of England ... The Society has appeared at all the major performance venues both on the Wirral and in Liverpool including the Floral Pavilion Theatre, the Gladstone Theatre, the Empire Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, the Philharmonic Hall, the Main Hall and Concert Room of St George’s Hall and both the Anglican and Metropolitan Cathedrals ... The Society has acquired a strong reputation for its choral singing. It has developed a wide and varied musical repertoire and is a regular performer of concerts at venues across the Wirral and beyond.’
