Typically five evening concerts, September - May: ‘Our venue has enough space to comfortably hold over twice our normal audience of around 40-50 people, so we don't sell tickets in advance. Simply turn up after 7 p.m. (as the artist's practice session ends then) and "pay on the door"’.

'Formed in 1967. In our history, we have performed at many prestigious venues, including numerous civil occasions, and the honour of playing at Royal events. In common with most other bands, players perform entirely in their own free time, and are all proud to represent the Cheshire Constabulary. It's a common ( though understandable) misconception that the members of the band work within the Police Service. Whilst some do, most of our players come from all walks of life.'

‘We are a very friendly choir and are always looking to recruit new members, preferably, but not essentially, with some experience and music reading ability. There is no audition for membership, and we provide a supportive atmosphere in which to get your singing voice into shape ... Concert performances are given at our rehearsal venue, but also in churches and halls throughout the Vale Royal area of Cheshire and sometimes further afield - many in aid of charitable organisations. There are usually 6 or 7 concerts a year and during the Christmas period we also perform carols and other Christmas music at various informal and formal venues, both outdoors and indoors.‘

‘Comprises some of the most talented young musicians from all over Cheshire. The Cheshire Youth Orchestra and the Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra provide a fun and friendly environment where young musicians can meet and play in a symphony orchestra setting on a regular basis to develop their musical skills.’

‘Based in Plumley, between Northwich & Knutsford in Cheshire ... The Band was established to allow people to have fun while playing and achieving their musical potential. The Musical Director has focused on ensuring the band play a wide variety of modern music mixed with some traditional brass. This is to ensure the band entertains as well as appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes. The band’s repertoire varies from classical and traditional brass right up to modern musicals, movie scores and pop. The band is made up of many talented musicians from all over the Cheshire area who have extensive brass and musical backgrounds.’

‘Founded in 1972, the Rivendell Singers are a mixed voice choir of around 30 members. We perform a wide range of music from Handel, Bach, Bernstein, Chilcott, Jazz performances of John Rutter and Bob Chilcott, through to a selection of modern popular songs, musicals and Christmas carols. Each year we perform in a series of Christmas concerts and carol singing events along with a number of major concerts, some including a chamber orchestra and always including a selection of solo artistes to broaden the musical interest for the evening.’

‘Formed in 1998 to give members the opportunity to play big band music and help keep the big band sound alive by playing to the local community. Rehearsals were held in Middlewich so the Band was named after the salt towns of Middlewich, Northwich and Nantwich and uses “Witchcraft” as its signature tune ... A traditional big band line-up of saxes, trombones, trumpets and rhythm. The emphasis is on performing high quality jazz and having fun ... If it’s good music then we’ll play it! We’ve played throughout Cheshire at a wide variety of locations, including concert halls, civic and village halls, golf and rugby clubs, marquees and open air venues.’
