'Draw from a vast pool of musical experience not only from the brass band world but from Military band, Dance band and Orchestra. This wealth of experience not only attributes to a quality sound but achieves the ability to play any form of music. We are a non-competing band who mainly concentrate on performing entertaining concerts raising money for charities either independently or joining forces with other bands, choirs etc.'

'We are a very friendly, traditional, non-contesting brass band who play in most beautiful venues in North Yorkshire & Cleveland ... All players are welcome ... The Band is always looking to recruit new players: why not drop by one night? Membership is free and instruments, music and jackets are provided.'

Founded 1992: ‘We consist of approximately 30 singers.  We enjoy singing a wide range of works from the last four hundred years or so, and in recent years we have had the great pleasure of singing with small orchestras, organ, harpsichord and piano accompaniments. We give regular performances in the local area. As well as our own concerts, we have also sung by invitation at weddings, flower festivals, Christmas concerts, music festivals, assisting local churches in their acts of worship and as the entertainment at a local Dinner Club’.

'The Choir continues to seek new members. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of both rehearsals and concerts makes for a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience. If you can read music that will be an advantage, but certainly is not essential. We are looking for voices in all sections of the choir. We rehearse from early September through until July ... And we perfom concerts on average once per month.'
