‘The North Wales Jazz Society is a client of the Arts Council of Wales ... and is now widely regarded as the strategic body for Jazz in North Wales. Since its formation the Society has promoted numerous Jazz events. NWJS activities have included presentations at venues in the Wrexham, North Wales Coast and Bangor areas, and concerts by many of the world's leading Jazz musicians ... Our ongoing mission is to present jazz of the utmost excellence across North Wales.‘

‘The North Wales Yourh Orchestra was re-formed in 2005 after a break of many years. The orchestra has been formed by an artistic and financial partnership of all 6 local authorities and the Arts Council of Wales, and long may that partnership continue! ... The orchestra operates as a 7-day course and tour which will challenge the most gifted players to make music of the highest quality and help many of them to fulfil their potential as the next generation of professional instrumentalists. Coming from all 6 counties, the 90 talented musicians are all under 21 and many of them are still at school. Through their county orchestras and regional ensembles they have successfully auditioned to become members of this orchestra.‘ Summer School held Mid August.

Our Passion for Chamber Music ‘There’s nothing we like more than sharing our passion for chamber music and making a difference to people’s lives with an art form we believe to be out of the ordinary and exceptional. Our aspiration is to be an ensemble of the highest standard working internationally with its base in rural Wales; an area of beautiful landscapes with a rich and varied culture and history. By commissioning new music and discovering music from our heritage informed by the history and geography of the area we work in we believe that we’re bringing something new and distinctive to the art form of chamber music.‘
