2020 Competition ‘Brass, Keyboard, Percussion, Strings and Woodwind categories, with musicians aged 18 and under ...  Category Finals and the Semi-Final held in March 2020 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The Grand Final will be held in May 2020 at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, where finalists will have the opportunity to perform a concerto of their choice with the BBC Philharmonic.‘

‘Aims to help a young conductor establish an international conducting career, bridging the gap between conservatoire training and professional life. The winner of the competition is offered, in addition to an award of £15,000, the opportunity to become Assistant Conductor of the LSO for up to one year. The competition is open to conductors aged 30 or under who are citizens of the 28 countries with full membership of the European Union, plus those in Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and Switzerland.’ Held Late February.
