'A wind ensemble modelled on the British military band based around Yorkshire and the Humber ... Humberside Police Concert Band plays a vast repertoire of music including military classics, pop, selections from the stage and screen, and Last Night of the Proms style finales. Having taking part at prestigious events across Europe, the band is as comfortable at local galas as it is at performing in large arenas and even before members of the Royal family. The Band comprises on average of 30 musicians, the majority of whom are volunteer, civilian members, who come from as far a field as Lincoln and Wakefield. The Band undertakes about 25 engagements per year mainly in the Humberside Police Area.'
