'Louth Folk Club convenes at Louth Jazz Club ... on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month.'

The Society ‘was formed in 1970 and the organ was purchased in 1972 as scrap, the console and pedal board having been destroyed by water during the East Coast floods of the 1950's. A replacement console was purchased, this came from the Savoy Leyton, and it was a very early Compton Kinestra with a serial number of 4 and dated back to 1928’. Subsequently, the Society has made a significant number of improvements and enhancements to the organ, with the encouragement of the local District Council ... ‘but we are still responsible for its upkeep and maintenance, so to enable us to achieve this we run Nine Concerts a year from September to May featuring the Country's top Organists’.

'Established over 150 years ago, the Choir has earned a reputation for being highly accomplished and able to perform a wide range of challenging repertoire ... We currently have a membership of some 100 adult singers drawn from all walks of life and from a wide geographical area - Grimsby and District in the North of Lincolnshire down to Boston in the South. We meet weekly from September through to July to rehearse for our customary programme of four major concerts.'

‘We are a dynamic, friendly and welcoming group of men who share a passion of singing ... Our concerts are light hearted and we hope to surprise and delight our audiences with our music and witty humour from our compere.‘

'We are the music makers at the centre of time – on the Greenwich Meridian in Louth Lincolnshire. The Meridian Singers perform songs from light classics, jazz, gospel, popular and other genres. We are always keen to ensure that audiences are entertained by our performances ...'
