And to achieve that, its "mission" is to support & develop a vibrant community of music makers and a diverse range of high quality learning opportunities, which are open to all and celebrate achievement. As well as working with schools and music teachers we work with a growing group of people involved in a much wider range of music activity, including bands, clubs and groups, promoters, festivals and venues – with both professional and volunteer musicians and music supporters.'

ALERT 'The Department for Education and Arts Council England have awarded Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) the role of Hub Lead Organisation for the new Music Hub to encompass Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire from September 2024. GCC will lead as part of a strong consortium of the Swindon Music Service and The Music Works charity, and will go by the initial name of GSW Music Hub.'
