‘NESMS exists to provide tuition at an advanced level for musically talented individuals of all ages. To do this we bring internationally recognized teachers to our centre in Aberdeen on a regular basis – normally nine times a year. We have four teaching studios, one of which is large enough to hold small concerts or recitals, and an extensive library ... We know that success in public performance increases musical confidence and awareness. And so for those who want to develop the ability to deal confidently with an audience we provide suitably supported opportunities to perform both within and beyond the School as a solo player or as part of an ensemble – in for example our Flute Choir, Chamber Group or Wind Ensemble.‘
