‘We welcome all to our concerts, where you are assured good music and good company. Supper is optionally served after every concert, providing an opportunity to socialise and discuss the evening’s music. The musicians also join us to mingle and to talk about the music they are currently playing and their plans for the future ... The Society holds its concerts in the magnificent Mellerstain House, which was built in the 18th century by William & Robert Adam and is the residence of the 14th Earl of Haddington and family. Mellerstain is near Gordon in the heart of the Scottish Borders.’
