'A friendly Lincolnshire-based club for anyone with an interest in playing, or listening to others play, the accordion ... Sometimes, we are invited to send players to entertain outside the confines of the Club. Please bear in mind that whether we are able to oblige depends upon the type of function, size of venue etc. We are not professionals, but enthusiastic amateurs, and our beloved instruments are mainly acoustic without amplification.'

Concerts and Recitals Season

‘From time to time we have a ”guest evening” when a professional accordionist comes along to entertain us ... For our December meeting we change the format to introduce a festive feel. This is a "ticket-only" evening and tickets must be bought in advance so that we can brief our outside caterers.’

‘We hold monthly concerts given by some of the top organists from this country and abroad ... We actively encourage members of the public to come along to our concerts, to join in with what we know is a friendly relaxing atmosphere, where we hope they will all enjoy the music.’

‘We are a friendly fourth section brass band in Horncastle, in the centre of Lincolnshire. With a Senior and Junior Band we have members of all ages and all standards - call in and see us! Lessons given in term time on Saturday mornings ... We play to a high standard and generally do not enter national contests. We do however enter the local Butlins Contest in Skegness, January annually.’ ALERT Website not accessible at Review, cf Facebook Page.

‘The objective of the choir is to perform at least two choral concerts per year. Concerts are usually performed at St Mary’s Church, Horncastle and are held in December and May ... Rehearsals are usually relaxed and, while enjoyable, we do have a more serious side that aims to provide as high a musical standard as possible ... Membership is open to anyone who is able to sing in tune, and subject to current choir numbers. Should the choir be full, an applicant is welcome to go on the waiting list, to be contacted when a vacancy becomes available. An informal and friendly audition is required, which is undertaken by the Musical Director and/or the Accompanist.’

'Collectively-run community venue, staffed entirely by volunteers ... The Spilsby Theatre was formed from the former Sessions House and gaol in this small Lincolnshire town ... The interior of the building has much atmosphere.'
