‘We regularly play at local events and also spend time in the recording studio. Flautists from Grade 3/4 and above are more than welcome and there is no audition! The emphasis is on having fun as well as improving musical skills and meeting other flutey friends. ‘We are a mixed voice choir which achieves a high-standard of singing from a non-auditioned choir, normally performing four concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and the occasional light programme of popular numbers! Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and the surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford, Farnborough, Reading and Basingstoke ... Our combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue.‘

Forthcoming Concerts and Recitals

'We are a light-hearted and fun ladies' choir of 40-45 members and we sing a wide variety of different styles of music, from McCartney to Mozart. We perform three concerts a year in Farnborough, Hampshire UK and sing at weddings and private functions. In addition to 4 or 5 fantastic social events per year, we also aim to tour abroad occasionally. The minimum age for membership is 18.'

‘Has a membership of around 30 enthusiastic amateur and retired professional musicians from varying backgrounds, including ex-military players ... 'Founded in 1960, the Rushmoor Male Voice Choir has since been entertaining audiences with a repertoire ranging from classical to modern, from anthems and spirituals to show tunes and popular songs. The choir provides its services free of charge to charities and helps to raise around £10,000 every year for local good causes.'

Surrey Heath Singers is a choir of 75 members. We stage at least three concerts each year – mostly with professional soloists and orchestra. What we all share is a love of music, singing and friendship. Our repertoire is varied and often challenging which gives us a great sense of achievement when we get it right! Mostly we perform the works of the great choral composers but we also embrace music from the lighter end of the spectrum performing pieces by Bernstein, Cole Porter and Lloyd Webber.’

Forthcoming Concerts and Recitals

‘A friendly and inclusive group of music lovers who constantly strive to perform to our highest potential ... We perform four or five concerts a year with a variety of styles from classical to modern, including a concert of light music in the summer and a Christmas concert involving young local music makers. We aim to perform at least one concert a year with orchestral accompaniment. Alongside music making, our mission is to foster musical interest in the local community, particularly in children, and to support local charities wherever possible.’
