+ Derby Concert Band

‘We are completely self-supporting and have our own committee which raises finances through modest monthly subscriptions, alongside revenue from concert performances. The type of music played by The Derby Concert Band is selected to suit all tastes, and includes traditional band ensemble music, film, television and theatre themes, classical repertoire and big band jazz, which produces an exciting blend for the discerning listener. Membership currently stands at around 50 players of all age ranges. The band is very rich in abilities and experience, including school students, players with professional backgrounds and those with vocational interests. New players are always welcome to add their expertise to an already flourishing organisation.’
