'A community wind band based in Romiley, near Stockport, England. We play regularly at a range of venues across Greater Manchester and northwest England, plus undertaking frequent foreign tours. Our repertoire ranges from arrangements of classical music, wind and military band music, selections from films and musicals, to the light and popular. We have also commissioned pieces specially for the band. We rehearse weekly and accept players of reasonable ability ... The Werneth Swing Band consists of a standard swing/big band line-up, made up of alto, tenor baritone saxophones, trumpets, trombones and a rhythm section comprising of rhythm and bass guitar, keyboard and drum kit.’
