'If you live on the Isle of Man, are free on Thursday evenings during the school term and play woodwind, brass or percussion, you can join the Isle of Man Wind Orchestra! We are a community group, meaning that there are no proficiency requirements or auditions. A wind orchestra, also known as a wind band or a concert band, consists of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, oboes, bassoons, trumpets, horns, euphoniums, trombones, tubas and percussion. We play a wide range of music styles, from big band to classical and from movie soundtrack to music written specifically for wind bands.'
