‘We are a group of amateur musicians from the Southampton area.  The aims of the orchestra are to give enjoyment and practice to its members, to encourage musicians to join and obtain higher musical standards and to bring music to audiences in Marchwood and beyond ... During the year we perform three or four concerts with a wide repertoire, from classical to light modern which includes symphonies and concertos ... Following the separation of Marchwood Orchestra and Marchwood Prelude, and after careful consideration it has been agreed that from 1st July, 2018 Marchwood Orchestra will be known as Solent Concert Orchestra.’
