‘We are an enthusiastic and flexible group of players of various ages and musical abilities. The aim of the group is to bring live music to hospices, nursing homes and sheltered accommodation in the Newcastle area. We play anything we enjoy – as long as the joy is infectious ... Our programmes contain classical and popular music, folk tunes and songs to which the audience sing along. We go to great lengths in ensuring the audience enjoys the music we play and that the repertoire of music in the programme is suitable ... Our group consists of singers, and players (12+) of mostly classical instruments such as violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone and piano or keyboard.
