+ Winchester Chamber Orchestra

'Winchester Chamber Orchestra is a well-established community orchestra that performs a wide variety of orchestral works. We enjoy playing music in regular weekly rehearsals with a mix of local musicians: some may be accomplished players, others may have less experience and hope to develop their skills. We also try to entertain and hope to inspire Winchester audiences and new generations of local musicians with our concerts. There are usually two classical music concerts a year with music in a range of styles from classical to modern, often with an afternoon "Mini-Matinée" of excerpts suitable for children. These are played in a church in Winchester, usually in St Paul's - an elegant and spacious venue for a small orchestra where the audience can get close to the players. We also regularly perform a children's concert in the Winchester Arc which involves a presenter and projected drawings accompanying a theme or narrative.'
