+ Rowantree Choir
Listing Details
‘The Choir began its life as an evening class at Rowantree School in Winchmore Hill, North London, in 1960. It later became a separate entity, and is now an important part of Enfield's thriving musical activity. We are a mixed choir of about 70 members, made up of the four singing parts: soprano, alto, tenor and bass. In our forty-plus years of existence we have performed a huge variety of pieces, from Requiems to Rhapsodies, from Baroque to the Beatles, and from Masses to Madrigals ... Membership of the choir is open to anyone who can hold a tune! There are no auditions. All are welcome and, as an incentive for people who have never sung with us before, we offer the First Term Free, so that new members can take their time discovering whether they like us and what we do.’
