‘The question that we are often asked is, “What is a clarinet choir?” The official answer to that is “it is an instrumental ensemble consisting entirely of instruments from the clarinet family”. Blackwood Clarinets represent most members of the family – from the shrill Eb clarinet to the booming contrabass clarinet. This gives the ensemble a wide range of musical textures. We are based in Nottingham UK, with members drawn from a wide area of the East Midlands.’
