'We are an amateur ladies’ choir formed in October 2009, by Claire Lee, a teacher at Fairford Primary School. She gathered together a group of parents, teachers, friends and governors to sing at a concert to raise money for charity. We enjoyed ourselves so much we didn’t want to stop singing and have carried on since then ... We perform at concerts, community events and weddings.’

'The choir was originally formed in the early 90's ... (and) typically features around 50 voices and about 20 of those are original members. The choir‘s raison d‘être is to provide a friendly, enjoyable experience for all the members and a variety within the programmes so that every one feels there is something specifically for them, but with the overriding emphasis still on enjoyment.'

‘We are a thriving and friendly society of around 120 members performing autumn and spring concerts each year, supplemented by biennial charity Christmas concerts and summer choral workshops ... With the support of professional soloists and orchestras, we perform unjustifiably neglected works as well as the more popular favourites from the choral repertoire and our concerts are well reviewed. By keeping our ticket prices affordable and membership rates competitive, we attract good audiences and maintain a high membership level, thus making an important contribution to the cultural life of our town.’
