‘Built on the site of a pre-Reformation Franciscan monastery, our iconic building offers much to see and appreciate, from reading the words of the National Covenant (signed here in the Kirkyard in 1638), right through to contemporary additions, such as our magnificent organ that dominates the sanctuary ... Today Greyfriars is home to an active worshipping community of the Church of Scotland, with weekly services at different times. All are most welcome to join, whether of faith or not. We also have special services, concerts, ceilidhs, exhibitions, group visits and much, much more taking place here.’
