+ Royal Choral Society
Listing Details
‘Began its illustrious life as the Royal Albert Hall Choral Society – formed for the opening of the Royal Albert Hall in 1871 ... The choir’s name was shortened to The Royal Choral Society (with permission from Queen Victoria) shortly afterwards ... We are always looking for new members - particularly tenors and basses. If you would like to join the RCS, you will need to be aged 16+ and will need to pass a very straightforward audition ... We also hold regular Open Rehearsals where you can come along for a Monday rehearsal, join in with the singing, and then mingle with choir members over refreshments and experience for yourself how the choir works ... We also have regular “Taster” sessions (usually) on the first Monday of every month, where you can just join a normal Monday rehearsal.’
