‘We are a community choir and our aim is to derive pleasure from making music amongst friends and to perform concerts of a wide range of music three times a year. The choir’s repertoire is based in the classical choral tradition but encompasses a wide range of music from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century, including much newly written music ... In keeping with the choir’s philosophy, solo parts have always been taken by singers from within the choir’s own ranks and concerts have frequently involved small-group and solo vocal contributions as well as a variety of instrumental items.’
