Founded 1993: ‘Has gained a reputation as one of the liveliest and most adventurous choirs in the South West. EFC is a choir of around 75 singers, attracting people from all parts of the South West region. We perform with professional orchestras and soloists, and aim to bring choral music of the highest quality to our audiences ... We provide a broad range of music for our audiences, covering a great variety of genres and periods; we revisit standard works within the choral repertoire and explore new challenges from the contemporary musical scene. We like to be stretched musically and technically and, above all, we strive to set ourselves high standards ... EFC is an auditioning choir, but you can join us – without the pressure of an audition – at an Open Rehearsal to get an idea of how we work’.
