'We are a friendly, enthusiastic, non-auditioned choir of around 80 voices ... Some of us do not read music, don’t be put off if you are in this category! Our rehearsals include help with understanding musical notation and texts of pieces not in English, also help with the basics of how to sing well and make the most of the voice that you have.'

'Continues the brass band tradition that has been a part of Chard since the early 1800s. Although the Band has taken part in contests throughout its history, it does not contest at present, focusing on concerts and other events. Although an independant organisation it is very much a community band, with its membership living in the immediate locality.'

‘The Society was formed in 1967 and has staged concerts at least twice a year ever since. Our concerts are held in Spring and Autumn and our popular Carol Concerts take place in December. Other special public events and several social events take place during the year.’

'A stunning concert venue nestled in the beautiful, yet accessible, South Somerset countryside. The theatre was created from the old coach house in 1962, before being completely rebuilt in 1993. It has excellent acoustics and sightlines, and is the perfect size for chamber music and other small-scale performances. Dillington House has been bringing internationally renowned musicians to the West Country since the 1960s ...'

‘Our magnificent church is the principal ornament of the town and its most historic building as well as being a much loved place of worship. Crewkerne is unthinkable without its church, which is an architectural treasure of national importance. BUT, the church needs constant attention and maintenance ... An Association of The Friends of Crewkerne Parish Church was therefore set up in 1994 to raise money for looking after the building ... The Friends organize regular events each year to raise funds.’
