+ J26 Sinfonietta

Originally founded in 2009 'bringing together specially invited musicians to perform high quality music. Initially focused on music predominantly from the Baroque and Classical periods, now we are expanding our repertoire including some more recent composers. The name comes from the fact that when we started, we rehearsed in a location close to Junction 26 of the M1 and our musician base is similarly located! We play throughout Derbyshire, putting on our own concerts and also as invited guests at selected events ... As well as performing full orchestral works, J26 likes to showcase the talents of local soloists, not only from our own musicians but also from specially invited guests'.
