+ Mozart Orchestra
Listing Details
‘Came about through a bunch of friends getting together in 1961 to play Mozart for fun from May to October when the Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra playing season came to an end ... eventually putting on their first concert at the Assembly House in Norwich in 1962. Considering the chosen name for this new Norwich Orchestra, the first concert didn’t actually feature any Mozart! Nevertheless the concert was a huge success and this encouraged the Orchestra to put on further concerts ... The Orchestra now plays two concerts a year, one in October and one in May ... The Orchestra also performs two further concerts a year in June and July at churches in Norfolk and Suffolk. Depending on the programme you may or may not get to hear some Mozart!‘
