'Founded in 2012 with Dame Judi Dench as Patron, London Firebird Orchestra supports some of the most talented young musicians in the UK, all of whom are recent graduates of the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Firebird acts as a stepping stone to those starting out on world class careers in classical music ... Outreach is an important part of Firebird’s mission. Since 2013, the orchestra has held a residency at Middlesex University, involving large-scale concerts, conducting and composition workshops, ensemble and dance performances. In 2019 Firebird launched a new outreach project “Firebird for Schools” – a tailor-made children’s concert for London schoolchildren, which is intended to become an annual event.'
