‘Held its inaugural performance in August 1999 and continues to promote contemporary choral repertoire, particularly neglected and rarely-performed works ... Membership is derived from students and professionals from around the local area. Turnover is low with only a handful of places available each year. Although not affiliated with The University of Oxford, we structure our performances around the university term, rehearsing weekly during term time and performing around 5 concerts per year ... We are proud of our great working relationships with contemporary composers, but increasing our funding would allow us to do even more to champion contemporary choral music.
