‘Huddersfield's leading chamber choir, originally founded in 1875 as the Huddersfield Glee & Madrigal Society ... The change of name was due largely to the Huddersfield Singers’ interest in performing a diverse and adventurous repertoire. Today, the choir likes to perform anything from early music to the work of contemporary composers. Although Huddersfield Singers concerts always have a coherent theme, the repertoire spans everything from plainsong to Pärt and madrigals to Maxwell Davies.‘
