From the “city of dreaming spires”, home of some of the finest choirs in the world, OPMS is in fine company, and we are an integral part of the superb music making that goes on in the town. Since its formation in 1977 ... it has performed hundreds of concerts of music from all periods and of every style. The choir's Christmas concerts are an Oxford tradition, while its large-scale concerts with orchestra in the historic Sheldonian Theatre and elsewhere never fail to attract the best of reviews. At other, smaller, concerts the choir presents a varied programme of music, including many first and second performances and items rarely heard, alongside choral favourites.’
