‘One of the UK’s most versatile and accomplished vocal ensembles. Formed in 2002, its repertoire encompasses over five hundred years of music both sacred and secular, from the sixteenth to the twenty-first centuries. The choir is at the very forefront of Manchester’s vibrant music scene, and it prides itself on the breadth and diversity of its repertoire and the professionalism of its performances ... The Choir is a flexible ensemble whose numbers vary according to the requirements of the music: typically 35 singers. There is no regular rehearsal night – instead, there are usually four or five rehearsals just before a concert. All music is provided.‘
