+ St Peter’s Singers [Peterborough]
Listing Details
‘A mixed chamber choir of about 20 voices based in Peterborough. The choir was formed in the early 1970s by a group of Lay Clerks from the Cathedral Choir, who wished to sing music other than the day-to-day cathedral repertoire. Although membership is now open to all, a close relationship with the Cathedral has always been maintained and is highly valued. The Choir performs concerts in and around Peterborough, and occasionally joins with other choirs and orchestras for joint concerts. We present concerts of sacred and secular works, both accompanied and unaccompanied. Our wide-ranging repertoire spans eight centuries, from the 15th century to the present day, and often has a particular emphasis on British composers.’
